2023 Sunshine South Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Richard Klosek is a 2024 OF/1B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends The Kinkaid. A primary outfielder with an average build. Ran a 7.18 second sixty. Does a nice job working to the ball and carrying them momentum into the throws. Showed some arm strength from a lower arm slot topping out at 86 mph with accuracy when he controls the natural arm side run from the slot. Showed some bounce at first base covering ground off the bag and making accurate throws with proper footwork on the double play feeds. Showed soft hands receiving the ball out front that translates to to game actions with a nice pickup at the bag. Right-handed hitter, starts with an open stance and even base. Coils the upper half into the load. Produces line drive contact to all fields when he is down on time with the front foot showing intent to the rotation to impact. Good student. Named to the 2023 Sunshine South Showcase Top Prospect List.
