Conner Gleissner is a 2020 LHP/1B with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Goleta, CA who attends Dos Pueblos. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength to frame with additional room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.62 60-yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, shows balance to delivery and works with a long arm action through the back, creates some whip while getting to a three-quarters release point. Generates running life to his arm side on fastball, topped out at 79 mph, tough angle against lefthanded hitters and competes on the mound. Shows pitchability, flashed a changeup at 70 mph with life to arm side, went mostly to a 12-6 shaped curveball as primary secondary pitch, short depth to it when on top. Projects with added strength. Fields the ball out front at first base, longer stride through the ball, moves well on feet with shorter steps, can drop slot with intent on throws, tight arm action on throws. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow in the box; utilizes a longer stride moving into contact. Employs a contact oriented approach, does a nice job of staying short to the ball while showing quickness to his hands and barrel through the zone. Repeats swing, occasionally gets downward with path, comes off the barrel well when squared and shows comfort working to the middle of the field. Excellent student.
