Ricky Hernandez is a 2027 C/RHP/1B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Miami Lakes, FL who attends Monsignor Edward Pace. Features a taller build with some present strength/physicality. Ran a 8.37 60-yd dash. In the INF, showed corner INF actions. Avg. footspeed/quickness but footwork itself was solid where he fielded in rhythm and showed quality glove skill. Present reshuffle but arm showed looseness with strength and accuracy across. Behind the plate, showed quality catch/throw ability. Sets up in a slight side saddle set up. Exhibited avg. quickness out the crouch where he worked with good direction and gained a bit of ground. Exchange was clean but happened around the mid to lower chest. Arm stayed short and clean with avg. strength but was consistently accurate to the bag. At the plate, sits in a taller/relaxed stance. Uses a simple/small forward move with minimal movement to hands/barrel. Bat path works with a more compact/direct entry that levels out into contact. Produced a couple solid middle of the field and pullside LDs during his round and flashed some feel for the other way but had some trouble when a bit late. On the mound, he worked exclusively from the stretch, More of a hip high knee lift into a smaller drop into the backleg. Avg. speed/pace down the mound where he lands on-line. Set slight uphill shoulders with a higher glove arm. Arm path stayed more compact out the glove and worked clean to a 3/4 slot. Ran the FB up to 81 that displayed a good amount of running action. Mixed in a developing CB in the upper 60s, T70 that had some 10-4 shape and quality depth
