2024 WWBA Workout Showcase (June 21)
Reid McBride is a 2028 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-2 155 lb. frame from Montgomery, AL who attends The Montgomery Academy. Taller, medium size frame with long and lean musculature and some hop to his step as an athlete. Ran the 60 yard dash in 6.78 seconds. Primary position infielder, showing good first step quickness and creating decent angles to the ball. Solid feel with the glove, a bit stabbing on the backhand play but secures the ball well making plays. Deeper midline transfer to full arm path creating throws up to 80 mph across the diamond. Well done on the clay. Reps in the outfield as well, using a one hand gather off to the side and choppy footwork to get to his throws. Accurate feeds up to 81 mph here. RHH working from an even base, employing higher leg lift trigger and subtle gather to the backside pre-pitch. Moves to the front side to get to contact and shows really quick hands as he worked the middle of the field. Loud contact throughout his round, displaying strong hands throught the ball. Outstanding student as well.
