Sam Loeb is a 2025 OF/RHP, 3B, UT with a 5-6 135 lb. frame from Mandeville, LA who attends Archbishop Hannan. Young, square shouldered frame with some present strength to build and additional room to grow moving forward. Ran an 8.47 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, higher energy actions moving towards the ball, fields the ball to side, works to a higher slot on throws, can maintain energy through release, occasionally gets uphill at release but shows accuracy to the intended base. Similar actions in the infield, fields the ball out front and shows carry on throws across the diamond, balance to actions on the charge with a quick release. Also pitched, up-tempo pace on the mound, full hand path with a leg lift up past belt; short arm action through the back working to an over-the-top release point. Fastball topped out at 71 mph, true in life from tight release but mixed both a fading changeup and 12-6 shaped curveball for strikes and with confidence, showed present pitchability. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Hands start closer to body, does a nice job of staying short through the zone with swing path. Contact oriented approach, puts the ball in play and bat speed will continue to develop with added strength, creates contact out front.
