Andrew Murphy is a 2024 C/2B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Forest Hill, MD who attends Fallston. Murphy works from a medium build with additional room to fill out and add strength. Exclusively from his primary spot behind the dish, he showcased a full arm action with intent to get on top of the ball and work in line downhill to 2B. He started from a side saddled set with some bounce in the footwork, posting a 2.25 pop time. Offensively, the righty started from a wider stance with a compact hand set that produced line drive contact to the middle of the field. He extended nicely and repeated the stroke well, posting an exit velo of 76 mph. Ran a 7.76 sixty yard dash. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
