Micah VanFossen is a 2026 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Charlotte, NC who attends Palisades High School. Medium athletic build with some present strength and more to come. Works from a full wind up from the third base side of the rubber, step by step mechanics through a high 3/4's arm slot, mostly an upper body delivery that can use more lower half drive. Fastball was mostly in the upper 70's with some arm side run, topped out at 81 mph, was able to pitch to both sides of the plate. Threw a sweeping slider with big shape that was effective, also developing a change up. 7.14 runner in the sixty. Plays both first base and the outfield, plenty of athletic enough to be solid in the outfield with some arm strength, carries his momentum into his throws well and makes accurate throws. Left handed hitter, hits from a spread start with a small toe tap trigger, has a short swing with tight hands through the zone, rotational pull side approach. Good student.
