Chris Johnson is a 2025 C/3B, SS with a 5-8 180 lb. frame from Pearland, TX who attends Pearland High School. Physical build with solid size to both halves. Ran a 7.76 in the sixty. Showed plenty to like in infield and catcher drills. Solid intent to the arm from quicker, compact arm. Gains ground well behind the dish. Good transfer at both spots and works through his actions well. Also pitched, stretch only delivery with some drop and drive from over-the-top slot. Fastball commanded well, good shape to the breaker and landed both for strikes. Solid intent. Left-handed hitter, high hand set and high back elbow. Big pull side contact type hitter. Clears the hips and creates a good coil in load. Good strength and it comes off loud in BP and in game action. Very good student. Named to Top Prospect list.
