Dominic Bonilla is a 2025 SS/2B, 3B with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Chicago, IL, who attends Chicago Hope Academy. A bigger frame with a sturdy build and a higher-set waist. Some strength that showed throughout the build. Ran a 7.47 60-yard dash. Primary infielder who gets into position well, getting the glove down early. He had a clue for the footwork with a feel for the spot. He was quick to transfer with a clean funnel. Shorter release with athletic actions. Threw 77 mph across the diamond during his round. Traits to like here. A left-handed hitter with an upright stance, an even base, and slightly open feet. Relaxed look in the box with a smaller stride for timing, showing higher set hands and a higher back elbow. He gets extended nicely with power to the opposite-field gap, seeing the ball jump off the barrel. Showed some extension and was able to rotate through contact well during his round of BP swings. Produced an 85 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. Excellent student. Named to 2024 Chicago Indoor Showcase TP List. Verbal commitment to Illinois State.
