LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2024 WWBA Workout Showcase (June 21)
Gavin Dyson is a 2025 C/2B/SS with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Woodstock, GA who attends Excel Christian Academy. Medium current frame with nice lean muscle mass, broad shoulders with plenty of room to add muscle mass. Moves well, running the 60 yard dash in 6.99 seconds. Primary position catcher, starting from a staggered, traditional stance and doing a nice job replacing his feet in transition. Good midline transfer with appropriate short arm stroke with emerging strength. Online feeds up to 76 mph on pop-time best 2.13 seconds. Reps on the infield as well with fundamental overall actions, making plays solidly and handled the slow roller nicely. Feeds across the diamond up to 83 mph here. RHH starting with an even stance and turned in front foot. Good handset with rigid movements initially but strength to get to impact. Direct path to the ball with the barrel and turns well in the lower-half creating torque. Gets the ball in the air naturally and the hands do fire the bat head with violence. Hitterish overall presentation. Outstanding student as well.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
