Mario Borges is a 2025 C/OF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Klein Cain. Medium athletic build with some present strength and room for more. 7.19 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, has quickness and athleticism out of his crouch, plenty of raw arm strength, made accurate throws in the games, repeats his actions well, soft hands that receive the ball well, ideally adds more overall strength for the position. Right handed hitter, starts from a slightly open bent knee stance with a high hand load and a short stride into contact, has some hand rhythm to start his swing, made barrel adjustments well and was consistent in his approach, has some present bat speed and showed some impact in the games. Solid overall player who should keep improving with additional strength. Excellent student. Named to the Sunshine South Showcase Top Prospect List.
