Christian Garcia is a 2022 3B/RHP, OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Bowie. Primary 3B, showed soft hands and fluid mechanics with big upside in his arm strength. The glove action is playable and ranges smoothly to both sides with a quick catch and release. In the outfield he was aggressive working downhill and had plenty of carry on his throws with a slight uphill release. Compact athlete with a good motor has excellent versatility defensively. Also held his own on the mound as an effective secondary arm. Spins a firm fastball he topped out at 85 with good feel to land the breaking ball in the zone. More of a throwing operation with knowledge of the zone and ability to produce outs. Right-handed hitter, has active hands in his load creating separation with good feel for the barrel and staying on plane. Aggressive swing has balance to it with quick bat speed, solid contact tool overall. Good student.
