Chris Tortorella is a 2028 SS/RHP with a 5-10 135 lb. frame from Westfield, NJ who attends Union Catholic. Lean, high-waisted build with plenty of room and time to add more strength. Primary shortstop, stays light and quick on his feet while working through the baseball. Shows the glove early, fielding the baseball slightly off to the side. Separates into a shorter arm path and releases the ball from a lower slot. Delivered accurate throws across the diamond while recording arm strength up to 76 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher, utilizes a full wind-up delivery with a high three-quarters release. Creates clean extension out in front and accelerates well down the slope. Repeats his mechanics well. Fastball showed good arm-side run with occasional ride through the zone, ultimately peaking at 78 mph. Mixed in an 11-5 curveball with a developing spin profile. Right-handed hitter, starts in an upright, open stance with a high hand set-up and high back elbow. Utilizes a hover trigger for timing before working into a lofted stroke. Controls the barrel well throughout the strike zone. Produced consistent contact from gap to gap during batting practice. Projects for more power with additional strength. Posted an exit velocity of 76 mph. Ran a 7.78 sixty-yard dash. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
