Carter Sheridan is a 2028 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-7 135 lb. frame from Oak Ridge, NC who attends Northwest Guilford. Smaller lean athletic build. 7.36 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has a good first step and plenty of side to side range, bounce in his step, changed his arm slot effectively, max effort thrower in workouts whose arm may fit best at second base moving forward. Right handed hitter, sets up in a straight and upright stance with a low hand set, simple swing mechanics with very consistent timing, was on the barrel the entire event with multiple game base hits, high contact swing with more bat speed to come as he gets stronger. Also pitched, works from a full wind up from the far first base side of the rubber, fast paced mechanics, gets into his lower half well coming down the mound, longer arm action to a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 81 mph with some sink and run. Curveball had some tightness and 11/5 shape and depth, also showed a nice fading change up. Good student.
