Patrick Mangels is a 2021 C/RHP, LHP, IF with a 5-9 215 lb. frame from Marietta, MS who attends Mantachie. Recorded a 7.84 second 60 yard dash time. Medium frame and thick build with present strength. Primary catcher with a narrow and side straddle set up. Quick transfer at the chest, gets it out of the hand fast with a high transfer. Gains good ground towards second base, showed the ability to throw from his knees well. Right-handed hitter with a high hand set and deep hand load with arm bar, hands drift far away from the body. Narrow stance, shows good bat speed and balance in the swing. Present hand quickness, gets on plane early and whips the barrel through the zone. Solid round with loud contact. Excellent student.
