Blake Huston is a 2028 3B/RHP/OF with a 6-0 161 lb. frame from North Haven, CT who attends North Haven. Well-proportioned, larger frame with plenty of time and room to physically mature. Recorded a 7.82 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary third baseman with athletic actions throughout the fielding process. Showed good lateral range to either side, displayed a clean funnel out in-front and works downhill through the baseball with intent. Recorded accurate throws up to 76 mph across the diamond during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Quick paced delivery with belt high leg lift and good direction down the slope. Fastball worked in the 74-79 mph range for the majority of his outing, mixed in a developing breaking ball with gradual depth that has promise. Three-quarters arm slot with some present arm speed that will continue to develop as he refines things mechanically. Took part in the outfield portion of the defensive workout, where he showed similar athleticism and arm strength up to 75 mph during drills. Aggressive into the process, maintains momentum and transitions effortlessly. Left-handed hitter that hits from a wider base with a tight hand set and toe-tap trigger. Hands driven swing with some compact hand speed and some budding power potential to the pullside. Loose, slightly elongated stroke with feel for the barrel, will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Named to the 2023 13/14U Sunshine Northeast Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
