Cooper Mees is a 2025 C/1B/RHP with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Temple, TX who attends Lake Belton. Large build with well-proportioned strength present and projection remaining. Primary catcher, sets up in a side saddled stance and gets out of the crouch with some urgency. Stands up a bit and gains sufficient grounds during the gather phase. Utilizes a midline transfer and shorter arm path prior to release. Delivered accurate throws to the base while recording arm strength up to 70 mph with a pop-time of 2.06 sec. On the mound, utilizes a full wind-up delivery from the middle of the rubber with a belt-high leg lift. Separates into a shorter arm path, occasionally varying his arm slot and release point. Fastball was located fairly well around the strike zone, showing some arm-side run while ultimately peaking at 69 mph. Mixed in a two-plane breaking ball with a developing spin profile to keep hitters off balance. Left-handed hitter, starts in a wide stance with a high back elbow. Utilizes a small stride for timing before working into a slightly uphill bat path. Takes a short and simple path to the baseball, utilizing his lower-half efficiently. Produced several well-struck line drives during batting practice. Flashed a budding power tool with more to project on moving forward. Posted an exit velocity of 90 mph. Ran a 7.15 sixty-yard dash. Good student.
