Cooper Bertrand is a 2028 SS/RHP/2B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Covington, LA who attends St. Paul's School. Bertrand ran a 7.97 Sixty Yard Dash. Primary Middle Infielder with a long lengthy frame with easy room for additional strength going forward. Very Athletic mover side to side at shortstop catching the ball cleanly in front of his body with a clean funnel into a quick glove to hand transfer. Coming from a lower arm action with accurate throws across the diamond. Secondary right handed pitcher with a slower hip height leg lift. The operation was very easy and effortless with plenty more in the tank going forward. He comes from a high 3/4s arm slot with some length through the backside. He mixes in a fastball with some arm side run that peaked at 80mph as well as a breaking ball with two planed break with some tightness and a CH that tunneled the fastball well that had late fade. Right handed hitter with a narrow base slightly open upright stance. He stars with a hanging leg lift trigger into a short path at contact. The bat path had some tilt through the zone as he looked the drive the ball deep to the gaps. Cooper was named to the 2024 Deep South All State Games Top Prospect List.
