Tyler Spangler is a 2026 SS/2B/3B with a 6-3 188 lb. frame from Danville, CA who attends De La Salle. Large, long limbed frame with athleticism and present strength, additional room to fill moving forward. Strong runner, posted a 6.69 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, confident actions and plays with balance in the dirt, moves well to both sides and shows clean actions picking the backhand, clean footwork moving in either direction with bounce, arm plays on the left side and can manipulate slot as needed, solid carry across with accuracy, repeats. Left-handed hitter, begins with an upright and slightly open stance, loose and easy stroke overall and gets the barrel head out front well. Hands work and generates plenty of bat speed through the zone with ability to turn over the barrel, impact to the middle of the field and controls the barrel well. Had a 94 mph exit velo in game on single through the pull side. Excellent student. Verbal commitment to Stanford.
