Trace Pelfrey is a 2029 RHP/1B, 3B, OF with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Marianna, FL who attends Marianna. Recorded a 8.06 second 60-yard dash time. Primary right-handed pitcher with a medium frame and lean athletic build, full windup from the third base side, side step, high belt lift, fuller arm swing to three-quarters slot, works quick, filled up zone, dropped in low 60's curveball that flashed slurve shape, controls body and repeats delivery nicely. Secondary outfielder, developing feel with the glove, longer arm stroke here, decent arm strength on throws, working to gain overall fundamentals for the spot. Took reps in the infield, same arm motion, throws across body, actions better suited for mound and outfield. Right-handed hitter, high hands and back elbow, medium knee lift, working it to the outfield grass some, shows adjustability, solid swing overall, on the barrel some, consistent contact created with the swing. Good frame here, some arm talent present that he can really grow into as he physically matures. Named to the 2023 13U/14U Fall Southeast Showcase Top Prospect List.
