Nathan Matoush is a 2025 LHP/OF with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Hillsboro, IL who attends Hillsboro. Big and physical build with good present strength. Has a knee to stomach leg raise start to his delivery, clean and compact 3/4's arm stroke with good extension out front, has nice tempo to his mechanics and stays well controlled through release. Fastball worked consistently in the mid-80's and topped out at 87 mph, mostly straight with occasional arm side life, comes out of his hand clean and gets on hitters quickly. Threw both a slurve type slider and a 12/6 softer downer curveball, got some depth to both pitches, sometimes they melded together somewhat. Change up had good depth to it and proper arm speed. Primary a fastball thrower but has quality to his secondary pitches and will have options as he develops at the next level. Elite level student. Named to the 2024 Sunshine Midwest Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
