Henry Magel is a 2024 C/3B with a 6-2 160 lb. frame from Nyc, NY who attends Xaverian. Large, square shouldered frame with a lean build and room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.70 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, slight turn in set up behind the plate in drills, works into a longer arm action through the backside, gains subtle ground with lower half and can continue to incorporate more footwork into actions, tends to get under throws with release but works around the bag, arm strength will continue to develop; stays low on the approach to balls in the infield, similar arm action/release, shows some lateral range in actions. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wider base and utilizes a toe tap trigger for timing in the box. Contact oriented approach, tends to get to front side early with weight shift; compact and linear stroke through the zone. Employs a middle of the field approach, repeats mechanics, shows some jump when squared. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
