Vito Spadafina is a 2025 RHP/1B with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Sound Beach, NY who attends Rocky Point. Large, sturdy frame with well-proportioned strength present throughout and projection remaining. Primary right-handed pitcher, worked exclusively from the stretch. Utilizes a slower leg lift up to the midsection before pushing off the first base side of the rubber. Breaks into a deeper arm path and releases the ball from a low three-quarters slot. Fastball showed sharp arm-side run with occasional sink, ultimately peaking at 78 mph. Curveball sat in the low-60s, taking on a shorter 12-6 appearance. Changeup was pretty straight with some fading action to it. Projects for an uptick in velocity as he continues to add strength and physically mature. Secondary first baseman, displayed good first-step quickness with clean glove actions and efficient transfers. Separated into a shorter arm path and delivered accurate throws across the diamond. Recorded arm strength up to 74 mph. Right-handed hitter, starts in a narrow stance with a low back elbow and low hand set-up. Utilizes a high leg lift trigger and big stride prior to working into a flatter bat path. Hands lag a bit as he attempts to create extension. Limited usage from the lower-half with rotational upper-body swing mechanics. Created good impact to the middle of the field when timed up. Recorded an exit velocity of 78 mph. Ran a 4.16 thirty-yard dash. Good student.
