Christian Herberholz is a 2019 RHP/OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Scottsboro, AL who attends Scottsboro. Medium build with long limbs and some noticeable present strength to the frame. Primary righthanded pitcher who only pitched at the event, starts windup with a short side step up to a belt high leg lift, arm works pretty cleanly from a full arm action that wraps slightly some throw the back side as he coils at balance point, releases from an extended 3/4 arm slot, pitches with low effort and good arm speed, could get lower half going more down the mound for even more velocity, creates plane. Fastball sat in the mid- to upper-80s for the duration of his outing and topped out at 88 mph, creates some arm side run on his fastball, he mixed in a tight curveball with 11-to-5 shape. Physically build pitcher with good velocity and a nice secondary offering who can be really good with some improved small adjustments to command and lower half of delivery. Great student. Named to 2018 Sunshine Southeast Top Prospect List.
