Damaurys Rodriguez is a 2020 C/OF with a 5-10 178 lb. frame from Wernersville, PA who attends Wilson HS. Recorded a 6.80 second 60-yard dash time. Athletic build with some wiry strength present and well-proportioned throughout. Primary catcher with very athletic and quick actions. Good flexibility with big ground gained through release. Very good arm strength recorded up to 80 mph with a best pop time of 1.89 seconds. Very good catch and throw skills with good twitch behind the plate. Switch hitter who graded out best from the left side. Short and compact swing with a high hand set and a high back elbow. Keeps hands back well and shows good bat speed to drive the ball to both fields. Gets out in front of the plate well and uses hips well through contact. Good student. Verbal commitment to Bryant.
