Blaze Hill is a 2020 1B/RHP with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Livermore, CA who attends Granada HS. Large and sturdy frame. Ran a 7.65 second 60 yard dash. Primary first baseman, fields the baseball with quick actions around the bag, hands are developing and will improve with additional reps at the position, bends at the waist when fielding the ball, takes a loose arm action into throw. Secondary righthanded pitcher, begins his delivery with a small rocker step up to a high leg lift, takes his arm back to a long and loose arm action up to a high 3/4 arm slot, flexes at balance point before working down the mound with drop and drive actions, fastball topped out at 82 mph with good armside run, flashed a developing slider with mostly tight spin. Righthanded hitter, utilizes a toe tap trigger into his swing for timing, moves into his stroke well with a proper weight shift in his lower half, plenty of rhythm keeping his upper and lower half in sync, present bat speed and pop off of the barrel especially to his pull side gap. Good student.
