Alec Salazar is a 2024 3B/1B, OF with a 5-7 165 lb. frame from Elsa, TX who attends Edcouch-Elsa. Primary third baseman with a young frame and strong build. Fields deep with developing glove actions, showcasing heavier footwork and some accuracy across the diamond. Makes throws on the bag at 70 miles per hour. Also worked out at first base, showcasing comfortable footwork around the bag and similar developing glove actions. Turns well and has more fluid footwork, making throws at 66 miles per hour across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts from a slightly crouched and even stance, Has a rotational lower half and simple leg lift trigger, showcasing some feel for the barrel with a linear plane through the zone. Handles the barrel well with developing use of the lower half. Will continue to hit for more power with engaged lower half and strength in the frame. Good student.
