Austin Wiegandt is a 2025 OF/RHP with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Westminster Christian. Medium athletic build with some present strength and room for plenty more. 7.05 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, works through the ball well with some idea on his fundamental footwork and transition, long and full arm action, gets on top of his throws well to create on line carry, showed his athleticism well in the games. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow start with a hard move into contact, has good bat speed and finishes through the ball well, some jump off the barrel. Also pitched, full low hand delivery with a high leg raise, athletic actions down the mound, same full and high arm action as in the outfield. Fastball topped out at 87 mph with good carry through the zone. Curveball had nice hard spin and power, shows confidence early in counts in using the curveball. Very good athlete who will continue to improve in all areas. Good student.
