Joaquin Rodriguez-Costa is a 2025 3B/RHP, 1B with a 6-3 188 lb. frame from Harbeson, DE who attends Sussex Central Senior. Recorded an 8.21-second sixty-yard time. Young, long, lean frame with tons of strength remaining to be added throughout his build. Primary corner infielder, waist bender, fielding in front of his body. Plays through the ball from various slots. Long arm action, up to 74 mph across the diamond. Could improve footwork and mobility. Secondary right-handed pitcher, full windup with an athletic operation that he repeats well. Shorter stride length as he remains on line to the plate. Shorter arm action, creating some downhill action with his fastball from an over-the-top arm slot. Fastball showed serious life through the zone, working it up to 79 mph as he sat 73-78 mph. Good feel for 12-6 shaped curveball with short break. Projectable on the mound as he missed barrels with his stuff and will continue to add velocity as he adds strength. Left-handed hitter, slightly open stance with a high-hand set up. Elevated stroke that flashed some juice to the pull side, getting his barrel out on a couple balls. Stayed to the middle of the field when he was on time. Hands had a tendency to get away from his body.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
