2024 14U National Showcase
Anthony Scaglione is a 2027 RHP/1B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Middletown, NJ who attends Red Bank Catholic. Big and strong physical build. Works from the stretch with drop and drive lower half mechanics, high 3/4's arm slot, has some energy at release but repeats fairly well. Fastball topped out at 84 mph with heavy life down in the zone, cuts some cutting action at times as well, attacks consistently with his fastball and looks to overpower hitters. Threw a big downer curveball for strikes, tends to slow his arm on this pitch and can tighten it up. Also flashed a developing change up. Power pitcher's young profile and build. 7.93 runner in the sixty. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread and open stance, low hand load, uphill swing plane, tends to lean back to create his lift, mostly contact to the middle of the field.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
