Derrick King is a 2027 OF/1B with a 5-7 148 lb. frame from Humble, TX who attends Summer Creek. Compact, wiry build. Ran a 7.76 in the sixty. Primary outfielder, has a good process and idea for age. Longer arm action with developing strength to throws. Good accuracy on a few hops to the bag, showed comfort in round. Left-handed hitter, high hand set from slightly open stance with subtle stride. Impacted a couple of balls out front to the pull side. Solid all fields contact developing timing and feel at the plate. Has good intent to build upon.
