Anthony Badillo is a 2027 SS/2B, 3B with a 5-10 135 lb. frame from Elkridge, MD who attends Arch Bishop Spalding. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and lean muscle, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.03 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, stays low on the approach to the ball and shows quickness in footwork, fields it out front front, softness to hands with a quick transfer and strong throws across the diamond, shows lateral range and consistently on top of throws. Right-handed hitter, begins with an even stance and a high back elbow at the plate; longer stride moving into contact, occasionally gets mistimed with front foot. Shows lots of quickness in hands with a full path through the zone, able to generate backspin to pull side gap; best swings game in live action, shows carry off of the barrel with developing strength. Excellent student. Named to the 2023 13u Perfect Game Select Festival.
