Mark Wichmann is a 2024 RHP/OF with a 5-9 185 lb. frame from Millersville, MD who attends Mount Saint Joseph. Medium frame with square shoulders and present strength proportioned throughout. Ran a 7.93 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, low hand set near belt, utilizes a full wind up and works with a shorter arm action through the back working to an over-the-top release point. Fastball topped out at 70 mph with occasional cut action, able to elicit ground ball contact with the pitch. Worked around the zone, gets on top of curveball well and creates vertical downward spin on the pitch up to 60 mph, mixed it in effectively. Young actions in the footwork, deliberate tempo to footwork, shows accuracy on throws with developing carry to the intended base. Right-handed hitter, begins with an even and balanced base in the box. Works on a linear plane and utilizes a middle of the field approach, stays short through the zone and remains consistent with mechanics; gets rotational and can incorporate additional lower half into movements. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
