Zach Partney is a 2027 C/1B, OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Hillsboro, MO who attends Hillsboro. A taller frame with a more slender build. Room to keep filling out moving forward. Ran a 7.27 60-yard dash. Primary backstop who set up with open feet behind the dish during his round of throws down to second base. He gains ground well with a higher slot on his throws. He had accuracy to second with on-line throws. He is steady with his glove, staying balanced through release. Produced a 2.15 pop time, throwing 69 mph down to second base. A right-handed hitter with an upright stance with slightly open feet. He's a right-handed hitter with a more upright stance, higher-set hands, and the back elbow up. He has slightly open feet, loading with the front knee bent. He closes off the front side and works into it. He was able to get to it out front and produce some good swings, working back up the middle of the field and pull-side into the gap. He had some quickness to the turns through contact. He had quick hands overall, and he was looking to lift the ball. It creates some separation and had some carry to it. Produced an 81 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. Great student.
