Jack Phiel is a 2025 MIF/3B/OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Denver, CO who attends Northfield. Lean build and taller frame with longer levers and some athleticism in the build. Room to keep filling out the frame moving forward as well. Ran a 6.95 60-yard dash. A primary middle infielder who had clean movements and athletic footwork, working to and through the ball on the dirt. He had a three-quarters arm slot through release with accuracy to first -- throwing 81 mph across the diamond. Quiet feet with clean glove actions, and he threw on the run well with arm strength and a quick release. Also worked out in the outfield as well, throwing 86 mph across the diamond. He fields the ball off the front foot with some athleticism to the footwork. He throws from a longer arm action, and the ball comes out clean. Phiel maintained good directional momentum working through the ball, shuffling into the swings well. Had a three-quarters release with good fundamentals top-to-bottom. Clean transition into his side shuffle with a good feel to work through it. Low and cuttable throws that carry well with good strength. A right-handed hitter with a medium base and a slightly open stance. He used a leg lift trigger to work into contact. Used balanced and well-connected swings working through contact. Stayed connected through the swing well and had some quickness through the zone with developing bat speed. A pull-side approach that showed during his round of BP with great overall strength to impact. Developing a blend of hit and power that helped him put together a solid round. Hit well in-game, finding the barrel and getting it done at the plate. Produced an 84 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. Named to 2024 Sunshine Rocky Mountain Showcase TP List. Excellent student.
