Justin Martinez Ruiz is a 2023 RHP/ with a 5-11 195 lb. frame from Carolina, PR who attends Colegio San Angel David. A bigger frame with a hybrid start from the wind-up. He steps into a leg lift that's around the belt, getting just above. He throws from a high over-the-top arm slot with a high glove point working down the slope. He creates some downhill plane on the fastball that worked 73-76 mph. The pitch has some running life arm-side, and he relied on the pitch a bunch early in a heavy fastball barrage. Threw a splitter at 70 mph that had depth to it. Paired it with a breaking ball that had 12-6 shape to it. Heavy fastball attack helped him navigate the outing.
