Gavin Smith is a 2027 SS/RHP with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Corona, CA who attends Undecided. Medium athletic frame with good room to add strength. Ran a 7.08 second 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, good athlete on the dirt, moves really loose and easy around the position, good hands with the ability to make plays on the move, has solid arm strength into low-80s across and can adjust slot when necessary with strength to get it across. Also pitches, slower paced delivery and moves down the mound well, feel for 3 pitches already, up to 79 with the fastball showing some run to the arm side, true sharp downer curveball and more of a sweeping slider with projection on both. Right-handed hitter, wide base and clean process, short and easy swing with fluid hands, good length through the zone and maintains plane well, makings of good bat speed and will project very well to added strength.
