Stevan Rocha is a 2027 2B/RHP/SS with a 5-8 138 lb. frame from San Antonio, TX who attends Southwest Legacy. Primary MIF with a lean and athletic frame. Moves well to the ball with some lateral range. Uses a 2 hand gather and funnel to chest working up the middle with feel to work around it. Showed solid footwork working to the ball with good hands. Fielded everything cleanly and made throws with good accuracy. Also played outfield fielding it off to side with one hand gather. Moves well to ball with a quick first step and shuffles into his throws before getting it out. Full arm swing and take away. Process getting it out can be quicker at times. Also pitched throwing from a standard 3/4 slot. Fastball worked up to 77 and was located well. Went to a curve with 10-4 shape and good depth to it. Switch hitter with a narrow upright base. Rocks his weight back well and uses a small leg lift and stride into contact for timing and rhythm. Good idea getting into lower half and keeps the weight back with quickness in the hands. Showed good feel for the barrel overall and controls it well. Better from the left side. Good Student.
