Hayden Cap is a 2027 C/RHP/2B/UT with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Parker, CO who attends Ponderosa. Primary catcher with a smaller build but good athleticism. Gains some ground through the plate out of the crouch. made throws with good accuracy behind them. Also played outfield fielding it cleanly to his side. Made throws with good accuracy. Developing arm strength. Also played infield working around the ball well up the middle. Working on his transfer and release but should continue to improve and get quicker. Also ran a 7.12 sixty. Also pitched throwing from a mid 3/4 slot with clean arm action coming full circle and rearing back a bit. Fastball showed late life at times and ran in on righties. Right-handed hitter with a balanced base. Rocks the weigh back a bunch while using a double toe tap for timing. Swing stays level through the zone and is more linear than anything. Left-handed stance was identical to righty stance. Swing looks a bit more refined from the left side. Good student.
