Kyle Kirkland is a 2026 RHP/2B/3B with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Lake Wylie, SC who attends Clover. Long and lean athletic build with plenty of physical projection remaining. Works from a full wind up from the first base side of the rubber, has a high 3/4's arm action, low effort and relaxed delivery that he repeats well, ball comes out of his hand easily. Fastball was mostly in the upper 70's and topped out at 81 mph, gets good ride in the zone and is thrown for strikes. Curveball lacks ideal power but is consistently landed for strikes. Type of pitcher who challenges hitters with early count strikes and lets them get themselves out. Raw stuff should continue to improve with additional strength and physical maturity. 7.28 runner in the sixty. Plays the infield when not on the mound, stays low and works through the ball, was solid to the back hand, step by step actions, fine on the routine play. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with a short stride into contact, big hand drop into slot to start his swing, stays pretty short to the ball with some uphill plane, best on pitches low in the zone, swung the bat well in games and made hard middle of the field contact. Good student.
