Cole Smith is a 2025 RHP/MIF with a 5-11 153 lb. frame from Rock Hill, SC who attends Northwestern. Medium frame with a strong, lean build and some twitch to his actions. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.41 seconds. Primary position RHP, using a full windup from the 1B side of the rubber, small sidestep to quick leg lift just above the belt, stationary hands at the chest breaking into full slightly offline arm path as he accelerates through a high 3/4 arm angle, some life to him and quickness to his core and arm path, gets into his base pretty well and accelerates down the mound with good direction, solid feel for release and really works with a quick pace, moves the game along, fastball with good spin traits up to 83 mph and slider in the low-70s with inconsistent shape but did snap off some tight ones. Secondary infielder, showing a good first step and hop to his actions. Works the glove cleanly in the midline into longer transfer to release. Arm plays next level here with throws up to 88 mph across the diamond. RHH working from an even stance, well balanced with a good handset and small load to the backside. Flat direct path to impact with some loft to the pull side and a bit of torso tilt as he gets to contact. Caught some good barrels and showed his strength in his hands. Good student as well.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
