Christian Niederwerder is a 2026 LHP/OF with a 6-0 205 lb. frame from Leawood, KS who attends Blue Valley. Physical medium size frame. Primary LHP with a 3 pitch-mix. Clean and balanced operation on the mound with a high 3/4 slot and above average arm speed. Worked the fastball with arm side sink into the mid 80's. Showed command of the pitch to both sides of the plate. Breaking ball showed 1-7 shape with depth, and the change-up was turned over well in the upper 70's with fading action. Showed feel for all 3 pitches and sequenced the stuff well. Developing actions in the outfield and footwork to the baseball in the outfield. Solid above average arm strength up to 83 mph from the position. Hit from a medium base and swings with big intent, slight uphill bat path with strength in the swing. Rotational to the baseball and incorporates the backside well. Power over hit profile. 2-way talent. Named to event Top Prospect List. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
