Tyler Griffin is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 5-9 130 lb. frame from Saint Cloud, FL who attends St. Cloud. Compact, slender frame with square shoulders and room to add strength. Recorded a 7.33 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Incorporates a belt high leg lift with medium stride length out to foot strike. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 70s and topped out at 77 mph from a compact three-quarters arm slot. Used lower spin fastball to generate tons of swings-and-misses, while flashing a developing breaking ball that varied in shape. Delivered several strikeouts during his game appearance and hides the ball well from hitters. Will continue to improve with additional velocity and refined breaking ball. Secondary outfielder with a developing defensive skill set. Used fundamental footwork to field properly off his front foot and maintained some momentum into release. Produced accurate throws up to 76 mph during drills.
