Truman Hunt is a 2008 LHP with a 5'11'', 145 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Austin. Truman is an athletic pitcher with a toned frame. He has solid mechanics and good command out of an over the top arm slot, and showed good movement on his pitches. He is a three pitch guy, with a slider and changeup. He has good arm action on the changeup, and it's his best pitch. He keeps the ball down in the zone and gets a lot of ground ball outs. We also saw him work both sides of the plate effectively, and he changes speeds well. His slider is a 1-7 breaker with tight spin, and he commands it well. He demonstrates a good understanding of how to pitch, and has a confident presence on the hill. Truman is also a very good student.
