2022 13U/14U Sunshine Midwest Showcase
Ryan Tran is a 2026 2B/SS with a 5-0 120 lb. frame from Independence, MO who attends Fort Osage. Recorded a 9.28 sixty-yard dash at the event. The frame is smaller and compact build, plenty of physical development ahead of him yet. The primary second baseman looks like he had a good feel on the infield for what it is suppose to look like. Had a slower first step with limited laterally movement on balls up the middle and in the hole. Occasionally stabs at the ball using a late glove flip, fielding the ball between his legs. During BP, Tran hit from a square stance with a straight line stance. Limited strength at the plate with some feel for the barrel. Uses a toe tap timer to stay balanced at the plate and disciplined. As the frame continues to develop, his traits will closely follow.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
