AJ Kazak is a 2028 C/RHP, 1B with a 5-6 135 lb. frame from Laguna Niguel, CA who attends JSerra Catholic. Features a medium build. Ran a 9.18 60-yard dash. Primary catcher. Utilizes a slight side saddle behind the plate. Replaces feet well out of crouch. Throws with high intent. Still developing overall quickness and fluidity throughout the transfer. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes an even base stance with a small leg kick timing mechanism. Swings on a linear path. Flashed the ability to get extended well out front. Showed the ability to use strength well when in sync. More power should come as the barrel accuracy continues to be refined. Right-handed pitcher. Throws exclusively out of the stretch. Utilizes drop and drive mechanics down the mound. Throws from a 3/4 slot with a short arm action. The fastball sat 54-57 mph. Was around the zone often with the offering. Still developing comfortability on the mound. Excellent student.
