Ronald Burris is a 2030 OF/RHP/2B with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Fairfield, CA. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean build, room to grow and develop moving forward. Ran a 7.23 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, deliberate tempo to actions and will continue to refine footwork, fields the ball out front and works through a clean exchange, throws will keep developing with additional strength. Stays low in the infield with actions and shows nice lateral agility, shorter arm action, can continue to find a consistent release point, maintained balance on slow roller. Also pitched, side step into a belt high leg lift, quick delivery and lands on line and over front side; three-quarters release with a medium length arm action through the back. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, shows life out of the hand and tends to vary slot on release of curveball, up to 63 mph with short 11-5 shape. Switch-hitter, wide base set up from the right side with an upright stance, contact oriented in the box with an up-the-middle approach, occasionally gets downward with path. Similar set up from the left side, shows more loft to plane, tends to open front side early at times, utilizes a leg hover load at start of swing. Excellent student.
