Hank Shih is a 2027 C/RHP/OF with a 5-11 135 lb. frame from Centreville, VA who attends Chantilly. Young athlete with a medium current frame, lean build and some present muscularity with a lot of time to add mass. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.45 seconds. Primary position C, working from a higher primary stance but solid overall mechanical presentation. Loose arm action and directional footwork setting him up for accurate feeds to bag. Easy actions, nice midline transfer and throws up to 73 mph with a pop time best 2.13 seconds. Reps in the OF with glove work way off to the side and conservative approach to the ball with throws up to 76 mph here. Secondary RHP, stretch only with cross body direction down the slope. Works quickly into full arm path and quick hand getting to release. Good deception creating uncomfortable swings for opposing hitters. Lower-3/4 arm angle with the arm doing the bulk of the work to build a FB up to 78 mph with sinking type action. SL shows signs of being excellent offering in time as in worked in the lower-60s with some tilt. RHH working from a wide stance and loading heavily into the backside pre-pitch. Some length to impact but hand/bat speed is present and will develop into above average power with maturity. Saw some jump off the barrel when on time and extended. Complete skill set to be a two-way threat long term.
