Andrew Cucuzza is a 2027 SS with a 5-6 135 lb. frame from Plainview, NY who attends Plainview-Old Bethpage/JFK. Lean, compact build with present athleticism and some physical projection remaining. Primary shortstop, stays quick and light on the feet while working through the baseball. Good internal clock with lateral range to both sides. Gets a good first step on the ball and funnels it cleanly. Releases it from a lower slot and can make adjustments. Delivered accurate throws and recorded arm strength up to 76 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, starts in a very wide base with a high back elbow and flat hand set-up. Utilizes a subtle toe-tap trigger for timing before working into a short path to the baseball. Has the ability to work the entire field. Displayed developing bat speed and strength in the barrel. Posted an exit velocity of 77 mph. Ran a 7.19 sixty-yard dash.
