2025 PG Coastal High School All-State Games (Invite Only)
Cameron Smith is a 2027 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-1 210 lb. frame from Jessup, MD who attends John Carroll. Big and strong physical build. Primary right handed pitcher with two-way potential as a right handed hitting first baseman. Works from a full wind up with a side step/leg lift delivery, slow and controlled mechanics, loose arm with an extended 3/4's arm slot, ball comes out easily, repeats his mechanics well. Fastball topped out at 83 mph with some run and sink. Showed good feel for spinning the ball and changing shape on his breaking balls, also threw a change up that had some fading depth and good potential. Four-pitch starter potential. Sets up in a spread and open stance at the plate has a short and direct swing with good bat speed, impacts the ball hard out front, loud jump off the barrel, worked gap to gap with carry, swung the bat well in the games. 7.66 runner in the sixty. Corner infielder on defense with better actions and glove work at first base. Excellent student. Named to the PG Coastal High School All-State Games Top Prospect List.
